Having a little break

 

I'm taking a little break from the blog. Many things and my family are taking all my time and power for now!

But I will not forget about you and I will be back ... see you in some weeks!!!

A different perspective

We all know that objects look different, when the angle of view is changed. But that not only concern for photos: right now I'm  - after a very stressful last week - 'grass mum' ;) and my daily schedule has a totally different perspective. I had long since forgotten, how it is without any child in the house - for almost three decades, 'Hotel Mum' is open round the clock and 365 days a year. ‘Without’ is sooo strange … , but it doesn't feel wrong … ;)

Wir wissen ja alle, dass Gegenstände anders wirken, wenn beim Fotografieren der Blickwinkel verändert wird. Aber das gilt nicht nur dafür:  Im Moment bin ich, nach einer sehr stressigen Vorwoche,  ‚Strohmama‘ ;) und mein derzeitiger Tagesablauf hat eine total veränderte Perspektive. Ich wusste gar nicht mehr, wie es sich ohne Kind im Haus anfühlt - seit fast drei Jahrzehnten ist ‚Hotel Mama‘ rund um die Uhr und 365 Tage im Jahr geöffnet. ‚Ohne‘ ist sooo ungewohnt  ... , aber es fühlt sich nicht verkehrt an … ;)

If decorative storage space is lacking, but only little space is available, lends itself to this version:

Grandma’s old nightstands!

First, the feet of one of furniture are to remove. And then both parts colored in the color of your choice and after they are drying, placed upside down on each other. Then lay up a matching wooden board or an appropriate marble slab and you’ve a shabby-vintage storage tower for a small base area ;).

Wenn dekorativer Stauraum fehlt, aber nur wenig Stellfläche zur Verfügung steht, bietet sich diese Variante an:

Omi’s alte Nachtschränke!

Dafür werden bei einem Möbel die Füße entfernt, anschließend beide Teile in der Wunschfarbe coloriert und, nachdem sie trocken sind, umgedreht übereinander gestellt. Obenauf noch eine passende Holzplatte oder die vorhandene Marmorplatte auflegen und fertig ist ein shabby-vintage Stauraumturm für eine kleine Grundfläche ;). 

Hand spun and hand dyed wool ...

Two weeks ago I ordered wool in Germany. Just arrived … hand spun and hand dyed. The colors are perfect for a good mood, right? From the rainbow wool I'll knit a sweater for the beach from the green wool a casual cardigan for cool moments … ;).

Vor zwei Wochen habe ich in Deutschland Wolle bestellt. Gerade eingegetrudelt … handgesponnen und handgefärbt. Sind die Farben nicht prädestiniert für gute Laune? Aus der Regenbogenwolle soll ein Beachpullover entstehen und aus der grünen eine lässige Überschmeißjacke für kühle Momente … ;).
